  • Such an emotional day as we bid farewell to Year 13, as they depart for study leave ahead of their exams. Leavers service, awards and music followed by cupcakes, pressies & lots of shirt signing! • Empowering few days of reflection for staff from Sacred Heart schools across Europe who met together at the childhood home of our founder St Madeleine Sophie Barat to discuss the philosophy of Sacred Heart Education and the profile of a Sacred Heart Educator. Sharing Sophie's Gift. So wonderful to get to know (and share ideas with, and learn from) our colleagues from overseas. #shhshammersmith #rscj #madeleinesophiebarat
  • Y10 classes have been visiting the Charles Dickens Museum in support of their study of A Christmas Carol. A fantastic trip which has really added to their understanding of the novel and Dickens' life and influences. We feel very fortunate to be a London school who can hop on the tube so easily to such an interesting museum. #shhshammermsith
  • Silver Duke of Edinburgh Practice Expedition for Year 10 in the North Wessex Downs. Very frosty conditions and a 3 day - 2-night trip. Fantastic experience, well done girls! #shhshammersmith
  • We have had a wonderful Cultural Week celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of our community. Students have had extended assemblies all week with presentations created and led by our students. During tutor time, they learnt about wisdom from diverse cultural back grounds and in their PSHE lesson they reflected on the question, "What is Culture?" and linked these ideas to their own cultural heritage. On Friday evening, our chapel was full to capacity with parents, staff and students watching a vibrant and joyous celebration of artistic expressions of our diverse cultural heritage from around the world -all topped off with a range of global cuisine donated from Sacred Heart families. How lucky we are to be able to learn from one another and discover the deeper bonds and points of connections as a human beings made in the image and likeness of God.
